Lou DeAngelis – Unique Food Company Founder & Owner

Lou DeAngelis is the owner and founder of Unique Food Company, starting this company in 1988 slicing fresh mushrooms daily using a hand operated slicer out of a 500 sq.ft. facility. Now operating a 18,000 sq. ft facility with three temperature-controlled coolers, we utilize eleven refrigerated trucks to deliver fresh produce six days a week. He is continuously striving to further improve and expand our business by providing sliced mushrooms, fruits and vegetables that are safe and of the highest quality. He is the most valuable player of our team, leading all departments to continuously improve every day.

Beverly DeAngelis – Unique Food Company Co-Owner

Beverly DeAngelisBeverly DeAngelis has been a member of the Unique Food Company team for 25 years. As co-owner and wife of the President, Lou DeAngelis, she is the Accounting Manager and responsible for all receivables and payables. She manages all invoicing and is an extremely valuable member of our team.

 

Joey DeAngelis – Operations Manager

Joey DeAngelisJoey DeAngelis has been a member of the Unique Food Company team for 19  years. As Operations Manager, and responsible for purchasing, ordering and invoicing, and ensuring that all customers receive products that exactly meet their specific requirements and specifications. He is also responsible for all warehouse and production employees, and is a valuable asset to our team.

Gina Bissette – Quality Assurance Manager

Gina BissetteGina Bissette has 15 years of experience as Quality Assurance Manager for Unique Food Company. Her responsibilities include implementing and maintaining all Food Safety, Quality and HACCP Programs, employee training and education, and annual third party audits. Gina is HACCP Certified and became a Safe Quality Food (SQF) Practitioner in August, 2009. Since 2001, Unique Food Company has had ten third party audits from various companies including AIB, ASI, Silliker, and NSF, and has scored an Excellent or Superior rating on all audits. Most recently, in April 2015, Unique Food Company was certified under the Safe Quality Food Institute as a Level 3 – Comprehensive Food Safety and Quality Management System-the highest certification achievable.

Bryan Parrish – Transportation & Shipping Team Leader

Bryan ParrishBryan Parrish has been a member of the Unique Food Company team for 20 years. As Transportation & Shipping Team Leader, he is responsible for inspecting and receiving incoming products for quality and safety, as well as ensuring all outgoing products have been inspected and meet customer specifications and requirements. He is also responsible for invoicing and maintaining a daily product inventory. Bryan maintains all truck maintenance and repairs, and is a valuable asset to our team.

Jonathan Pearson – Receiving Team Leader

Jonathan PearsonJonathon Pearson has been a member of the Unique Food Company team for 15 years. He is the Receiving Team Leader and responsible for inspecting and receiving all incoming products for quality and safety, and ensuring that all outgoing products meet customer specifications and requirements prior to loading on refrigerated trucks inspected daily for cleanliness and correct temperature. Jonathon is also responsible for maintaining a daily product inventory and tagging all incoming pallets with date, vendor, item and lot number information for easy tracking and monitoring. Jonathon is a valuable asset to our team.
